On October 1st and 2nd, 2011 the prestigious halls of Palazzo Boggiano-Gavotti, the premises of Casa d'Aste San Giorgio, will host an auction of ancient weapons, militaria and military decorations.

Autumn's first auction at the San Giorgio Auction House will offer a substantial number of lots of Oriental art, namely ivory sculptures, a carved rhinoceros horn, a superb engraved coral, bronzes and ceramics from different ages.

In the year that we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, a group of Risorgimento period weapons takes on even more significance, including an honour sabre conserved in its original case and that has a dedication to an important character.
