San Giorgio Auctions srl Unipersonale draws up a catalogue for each sale, which includes all the items for sale, with pictures and descriptions.
The items shown in the catalogue are accompanied by a table, describing their authenticity and attribution, and giving a critical opinion. While on display before the auction, the items can be inspected by the public.
Across each description of the items listed in the catalogue, you will find an estimate which expresses the opinion of our experts as well as the mean market value for such items, on the basis of their rarity, quality and condition.
Such estimates are made well ahead of the auction, so they might be changed before such date.
The reserve price is the minimum price agreed upon between the Auction House and the seller, below which the item will not be sold. This figure is confidential and will be protected by the auctioneer by placing higher bids. If the reserve price is not met, the lot will not be sold.
All items are publicly exhibited before the auction sales; during such exhibition, the bidders can inspect the items for quality and condition. The items for auction will be sold ‘as they are’.
Our experts will be there to assist with advice, suggestions and opinions on each lot.
