  The sale will offer two interesting collections of Italian medals with many rare pieces: among them, the group of Medals, belonged to a Regimental Medical Officer of  the “Granatieri di Sardegna” (Crimean Campaign and war of 1859), many rare crosses  and medals of military units, etc. It will be also offered an important collection of shipwreck and lifesaving medals; among them, the Large Silver Board of Trade Medal, awarded to John Rushworth Jellicoe (wreck of the “Ettrickdale”, 1886); a Silver Sea Gallantry Medal for the tragical wreck of the “Volturno”, 1913, etc. The whole, completed by an interesting selection of European and Overseas signs of honour.
