  In occasion of the next auction to be held this spring, an important collection of Italian edged weapons will be put up for sale, comprising numerous cup- and cage-hilt swords, daggers, pikes and halberds. The firearms are well represented by flintlock pistols, cases of Italian and European duelling pistols and of great significance, a pair of Italian pistols made in Brento; together with guns by other leading gunsmiths such as Le Page, Houllier, etc.. Of the full-length guns for sale, a rare repeater rifle from the Duchy of Savoy and various European and oriental sabres are of particular note. The militaria section includes pre-unification headgear and a rare collection of memorabilia that belonged to a senior officer of the Milan Fire Brigade, dated towards the end of the nineteenth century.
